Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Key Account Manager with a strong background in forging and machining to manage and grow strategic customer accounts in the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will excel in relationship management, RFQ handling, and customer engagement while driving business growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts and lead efforts to secure new business.
  • RFQ Handling: Manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, including analysis, costing, and timely submission to clients.
  • Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications, ensuring timely resolution of issues and queries.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement account plans aligned with business objectives, focusing on revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Market Insights: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform business strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including production, quality, and logistics, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor account performance metrics, generate reports, and provide regular updates to senior management.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience in forging and machining within the automotive industry.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of forging and machining processes, materials, and applications.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in key account management, sales, or business development roles.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills to address client challenges effectively.
  • Customer-Centric: A proactive approach to understanding and fulfilling customer needs.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office tools.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and business development.
