Position Overview:

As a Purchase Manager at Marzoli, you will lead the procurement function with responsibility for sourcing strategies, supplier development, cost control, and procurement process optimization. This role is vital in supporting business growth, production continuity, and maintaining our competitive edge in the global textile machinery space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Procurement:
  • Develop and execute long-term sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure availability of quality materials at the right time and cost.
• Vendor Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop strong vendor partnerships.
  • Conduct regular vendor audits and performance reviews.
• Cost Optimization & Negotiation:
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
  • Lead high-value negotiations with domestic and international suppliers.
• Contract & Compliance Management:
  • Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts in accordance with legal and company guidelines.
  • Ensure procurement practices comply with statutory and internal controls.
• Team & Process Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team.
  • Implement best-in-class procurement practices and continuous process improvements.
• ERP & Analytics:
  • Use ERP systems (preferably SAP) to manage procurement operations and generate actionable insights.
  • Monitor key procurement KPIs and prepare regular performance reports.
• Risk Management & Market Intelligence:
  • Monitor market trends, material availability, and pricing.
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Candidate Profile:

• Education:
  • B.E. / B.Tech / B.Com; MBA in Supply Chain or Operations preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 15 years in procurement or strategic sourcing.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in manufacturing or capital equipment industries.
• Industry Exposure:
  • Textile Machinery, Heavy Engineering, Capital Goods, or Automotive.
• Key Skills:
  • Global sourcing and vendor development
  • Strong negotiation and analytical capabilities
  • Deep understanding of contracts, taxation, logistics, and compliance
  • Proficiency in SAP / ERP tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
