Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned Head of HR to lead the Human Resources function at our automotive manufacturing plant in Ranjangaon, Pune. The role involves end-to-end HR leadership across Talent Acquisition, Industrial Relations, Admin, Payroll, Policy, and Talent Development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic HR Leadership

Develop and implement HR strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives.

Serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership, contributing to operational and organizational effectiveness.

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Lead recruitment for plant roles – white collar and blue collar.

Partner with institutions and technical schools for future talent pipelines.

Forecast workforce needs in coordination with production and operations.

3. Industrial Relations & Union Management

Manage relationships with unions and employee representatives.

Lead negotiations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.

Ensure full compliance with labor laws and regulations.

4. Talent Development & Employee Engagement

Implement training programs and leadership development initiatives.

Conduct employee engagement surveys and drive action plans.

Promote a high-performance and learning-oriented culture.

5. HR Policy, Compliance & Systems

Formulate and enforce HR policies and SOPs.

Maintain compliance with Factory Act, labor regulations, and company policies.

Oversee HR systems and maintain accurate employee data.

6. Compensation & Payroll

Manage payroll operations, benefits administration, and salary structuring.

Ensure statutory deductions and filings are accurate and on time.

Benchmark compensation against industry standards.

7. Administration & Facility Management

Supervise canteen, transport, housekeeping, and general admin.

Maintain safe, secure, and compliant work environment.

8. Culture Building & Diversity

Drive a culture of ethics, inclusion, and accountability.

Lead initiatives to increase female workforce participation.

Promote open communication and trust across all employee levels.

Candidate Profile:

MBA in HR or related field

15+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing (automotive preferred) environment

Proven expertise in union handling and plant-level HR leadership

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Fluent in Marathi
