Job Description

Brenstone is hiring for a GM / AVP – Internal Audit role on behalf of a leading listed player based in Pune. We are looking for a highly experienced Chartered Accountant with a strong background in internal audit, preferably in a large listed organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in risk management, statutory compliance, and team leadership to drive and enhance the internal audit function.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
Lead the internal audit function across the organization with strategic oversight, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Audit Planning & Execution:
Design and implement the annual internal audit plan, conduct risk-based audits across business units, and ensure thorough documentation of audit processes and findings.

Risk Management:
Proactively identify potential operational, financial, and compliance risks. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate those risks in advance.

Compliance Management:
Ensure the organization is compliant with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including SEBI, Companies Act, and other legal frameworks.

Team Leadership:
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of internal auditors. Foster a culture of integrity, continuous improvement, and accountability.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with senior management, external auditors, and audit committees to report findings and ensure the timely implementation of corrective actions.

Process Improvement:
Drive process improvements and automation within the internal audit function to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Reporting:
Prepare detailed internal audit reports and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board Audit Committee.

Candidate Profile

Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15+ years of relevant experience in internal audit

Proven experience working with large listed companies

Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, risk assessment techniques, and statutory compliance frameworks

Demonstrated ability to lead audit teams and manage end-to-end audit cycles

Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills

High level of integrity and attention to detail
