We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head – HR & IR to lead the entire plant-level Human Resources and Industrial Relations function for our client, a reputed automotive manufacturing group in Dharuhera. This role is critical for managing the human capital strategy, maintaining a harmonious industrial environment, and leading a robust administrative framework for a high-performance manufacturing setup.
Candidates with Defence background and strong experience in handling large workforce environments will be preferred.
Lead and execute the HR agenda for the plant aligned with corporate HR strategies.
Develop and drive HR initiatives focused on workforce productivity, cost efficiency, and cultural alignment.
Ensure compliance with all labor laws, statutory obligations, and company policies.
Maintain a healthy and proactive IR climate at the plant.
Lead negotiations with unions and ensure smooth functioning of all employee engagement forums.
Handle grievance redressal, disciplinary actions, and long-term settlements.
Liaise with government authorities and maintain updated legal registers and compliances.
Drive plant-level talent acquisition for staff, supervisors, and workers.
Build a strong pipeline of talent across levels with a focus on diversity and quality.
Develop partnerships with local ITIs, training institutions, and labor contractors.
Identify training needs and design learning interventions to upgrade employee skillsets.
Implement performance management systems and career progression frameworks.
Support leadership development and succession planning.
Manage plant infrastructure, transport, security, canteen, and housekeeping operations.
Lead cost optimization initiatives in admin and facility management areas.
Oversee contract labor management and ensure legal and ethical compliance.
Drive employee engagement initiatives, town halls, and communication forums.
Foster a performance-driven, safe, and inclusive culture at the shop floor and staff levels.
Ensure strong connect with workforce through consistent visibility and approachability.
Graduate/Postgraduate in HR, IR, or related field (MBA/MSW/PGDHRM preferred)
18+ years of plant HR & IR experience in automotive or large-scale manufacturing
Strong knowledge of labor laws, union handling, and legal compliance
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
Ex-Defence background (Army/Navy/Air Force) will be an added advantage
