Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse or job site. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety regulations, and efficiency in handling goods.

Key Responsibilities

Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials and products within the facility.

Load and unload goods from trucks, storage areas, and production lines.

Ensure proper stacking and storage of goods in designated areas.

Inspect forklifts before and after use, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.

Follow company safety protocols and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines.

Assist with inventory management by keeping track of material movement and updating records.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or work area.

Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and truck drivers to ensure smooth workflow.

Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting of forklift machinery as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role.

Valid forklift operator certification/license (as per local regulations).

Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling.

Understanding of safety procedures and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and operate machinery for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Basic math and record-keeping skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).

Ability to operate other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and reach trucks.

Work Environment

Requires working in a warehouse, factory, or outdoor setting.

May involve lifting heavy objects, exposure to noise, and working in varying temperatures.

Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as per company policy.
