BrenStone International is seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead technology strategy and innovation for a premier automotive group at the forefront of electric mobility. This strategic leadership role is central to shaping the company’s R&D direction and driving next-generation electric and hybrid vehicle technologies.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive technical expertise and proven leadership in EV powertrain systems, BLDC/electric motor design, automotive electronics, and battery technologies. The CTO will oversee cross-functional technology teams, steer innovation in EV systems, and build partnerships to position the company as a technology leader in sustainable transportation.
Define and execute a long-term technology vision and roadmap aligned with the company’s growth and product goals.
Lead the development and integration of cutting-edge EV technologies, including full electric and hybrid powertrain systems.
Guide decision-making on technology investments and innovation priorities.
Lead research and development in BLDC/electric motors, battery management systems (BMS), motor controllers, and vehicle control units (VCUs).
Oversee prototype design, validation, and testing across EV systems.
Ensure technology readiness and IP generation in key automotive tech domains.
Direct development and integration of embedded systems, ECUs, and automotive-grade electronics.
Evaluate sensor systems, control algorithms, and communication protocols for connected EV platforms.
Champion functional safety (ISO 26262) and compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay at the forefront of industry trends such as autonomous driving, vehicle connectivity, AI/ML applications in mobility, and smart diagnostics.
Explore next-gen technologies like solid-state batteries, power electronics, and hydrogen fuel systems.
Partner with product, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and compliance.
Support production-readiness and manufacturability of EV solutions.
Build and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, technology vendors, research institutions, and startup ecosystems.
Drive technology licensing, co-development partnerships, and vendor audits for critical EV components.
Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing technology and R&D organization.
Promote a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous learning across the engineering function.
M.Tech / Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from a premier institute.
15+ years of progressive experience in the automotive industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership/CTO/VP-Engineering role.
Deep expertise in electric powertrain systems, BLDC/electric motors, inverters, battery technologies, and EV integration.
Hands-on experience in embedded software, automotive electronics, and mechatronics.
Strong understanding of global EV regulations, safety standards, and homologation.
Technical depth in control systems, CAN protocols, BMS, and energy storage systems.
Strategic thinker with business acumen and experience in building global tech teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
