Manufacturing/Operations Head

Position Title: Manufacturing Head / Operation Head

Location: Dharuhera
Function: Manufacturing
Reporting To: CEO / President
Direct Reports: 6–8 | 

Key Responsibilities:

Business Excellence

1. Lead Annual Operating Plan (AOP) exercises with CFO & CEO.

   2. Drive YoY business growth in productivity, top line & bottom line.

   3. Plan CAPEX and working capital to support expansion.

   4. Control operational costs via process enhancements, material utilization, COPQ & rejection reduction, manpower optimization, and innovation.

Manufacturing Excellence

1. Build world-class manufacturing facilities with scalability for future business.

   2. Design lean manufacturing processes to optimize resources and reduce cycle times.

   3. Drive productivity, TPM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, line optimization & automation.

   4. Ensure all processes, SOPs & SLAs are well-documented and followed.

Quality Excellence

1. Ensure compliance with ISO/TS/IATF & OEM standards.

   2. Benchmark against global quality standards and competitors.

   3. Implement QMS, SPC, CAPA, Poka-Yoke, COPQ reduction & First Time Right initiatives.

   4. Build testing facilities & strengthen TQM/TPM pillars.

Operations & Process Excellence

1. Build robust supply chain and vendor ecosystem (domestic & global).

   2. Guide new machine installations & technology upgrades.

   3. Lead automation to minimize human error and improve efficiency.

   4. Strengthen preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns.

   5. Ensure compliance with statutory norms (Factories Act, OHSAS, Pollution Control, Fire Safety, PF/ESI, etc.).

People Management

1. Lead, motivate, and retain high-performing teams.

   2. Ensure manpower availability as per business needs.

   3. Build succession pipeline for critical leadership roles.

   4. Promote organizational vision, mission, and values.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

Experience: 25–30 years (with at least 10 years in leadership)

Industry Preference: Automotive Components Manufacturing

Age: 45–50 years

Skills & Competencies:

Behavioural: Business & Commercial Acumen, Leadership by Example, People Management, CFT Teamwork, Analytical Skills.

Technical: Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, COPQ, ISO/TS/IATF, SAP, 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, CAPA, 7QC Tools, TQM/TPM.
