Position Title: Chief Executive Officer – Electronics

Location: Pune India
Reporting to: Board of Directors 
Industry: Consumer Electronics, Consumer Durables, Contract Manufacturing

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned leader to join as CEO for a fast-growing electronics manufacturing business. The ideal candidate should bring extensive expertise in consumer electronics and consumer durables, with a strong emphasis on business development, strategic partnerships, and customer engagement.

This role demands a hands-on leader who can define and execute long-term strategy, scale manufacturing capabilities, lead high-value client engagements, and work closely with the board to drive profitable growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership (Business Development Focus – 80%)

Develop and drive the overall business strategy to grow revenue, expand market share, and establish the company as a preferred manufacturing partner in consumer electronics and durables.

Identify, evaluate, and lead new business opportunities including OEM/ODM partnerships, joint ventures, and strategic alliances – both domestic and global.

Forge strong relationships with key customers (e.g., global brands, large Indian OEMs) and maintain executive-level engagement to ensure long-term collaboration.

Explore new markets (India and international) and product categories aligned with company capabilities and future demand trends.

Drive margin expansion and commercial excellence through negotiation, client relationship management, and solution-based selling.

Operational & Technical Oversight (20%)

Provide strategic guidance to operations, R&D, and engineering teams to ensure delivery excellence, quality, and cost-efficiency.

Oversee capability enhancement in component manufacturing including precision stamping, plastic injection moulding, metal injection moulding (MIM), tooling, SMT lines, and assembly operations.

Lead innovation programs to stay ahead in product development, design for manufacturability, and process automation.

Monitor and optimize supply chain, procurement, and vendor development with a focus on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and operational KPIs across plants and functions.

Key Requirements:

Professional Experience

Minimum 20 years of experience in the consumer electronics or consumer durables sector, with at least 5 years in a CXO or Business Head role.

Proven success in leading contract manufacturing, OEM/ODM businesses, or high-volume production for top brands in electronics.

Experience working with/for companies like Dixon Technologies, PG Electroplast, Kaynes Technology, Syrma SGS, or similar.

Strong exposure to managing P&L, business development, and client acquisition in a competitive manufacturing ecosystem.

Familiarity with both Indian and international customer expectations, supply chain practices, and regulatory environments.

Technical Understanding

Good working knowledge of component manufacturing processes like:

Precision Stamping & Sheet Metal Forming

Metal Injection Moulding (MIM)

Plastic Injection Moulding & Tooling

Surface Mount Technology (SMT)

Product Assembly & Testing

Leadership & Personal Attributes

A visionary leader with entrepreneurial drive, strong commercial acumen, and operational discipline.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Deep understanding of customer-centric innovation, agile manufacturing, and business scalability.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under high-growth and high-pressure environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics/Mechanical/Production Engineering.

MBA or equivalent degree in Business Strategy, Marketing, or General Management (preferred).
